Last month I got a new ORCA Card to ride the various transit systems in my fair city.
In addition to being re-usable stored-value cards (replacing the disposable farecards we used to discard at the end of each month)ORCA cards can also be:
1. Re-charged online
2. Configured to automatically renew your transit pass on a monthly basis
3. Used across 7 different transit systems
I also love the personalized commute data you get on the Orca website. Minefrom last monthis below. I had loaded the card with a $2.00 monthly pass (cost $72.00)but the data shows I fell shy of the 36 trips needed to break even. The take-away? Ride the bus more!
